Injector, Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor and Idle Speed Controller (ISC) Connections

• Ensure ignition and stop switch are in OFF position.
• Disconnect throttle position sensor connector (a) from LH throttle body (b).

• Gently press connector lock to disconnect fuel injector connectors (a) from LH and RH of throttle body (b).

• Disconnect idle speed control sensor (ISC) connector (a) from throttle body (b).

Air Filter Hoses to Throttle Body

• Loosen both LH and RH worm clip screws (M5) (a) and separate the hose from air filter housing (b) to throttle body (c).

Throttle Body

• Ensure TPS, MAP and ISC wiring connectors are disconnected.
• Ensure the air filter housing is disconnected.
• Ensure the throttle cables are disconnected.
• Disconnect hoses (a) from canister purge valve.

• Loosen LH and RH worm clip screws (M5) (a) to disconnect throttle body from inlet manifolds.

Inlet Manifold Rubber Flanges

• Loosen and remove 4 Nos. Countersunk socket head bolts (M5) (a) located on inlet manifold of engine.

• Remove 2 Nos. inlet manifold rubber flange (a) from engine.

Spark Plug Suppressor Caps on LH and RH

• Gently pull out the spark plug suppressor caps from the spark plugs LH & RH.

Spark Plugs

CAUTION Ensure that the ignition and kill switch are in OFF position. Before removing the spark plugs, blow away any dirt accumulated in the spark plug area with compressed air to prevent it from falling into cylinder head.

• Loosen and remove spark plug (a) from RH cylinder head.

• Repeat the procedure to remove LH spark plug.
