Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 - Service manual > Clutch Cable on Clutch Cover
- Disconnect clutch cable assembly (a) from clutch cover (b). Refer clutch cable dismantling procedure.
Clutch Actuating Lever Assembly
- Loosen and remove Hex head bolt (M6) (a) from clutch actuating lever assembly (b).
- Rotate clutch actuating lever (a) in clockwise direction to release tension in spring (b).
- Remove clutch actuating lever (a) from clutch shaft (b) on cover.
NOTE
- Use a suitable wedge to slightly expand the slot in the clutch actuating arm and gently lift from the shaft.
Clutch Cover
- Loosen and remove 14 Nos. Hex socket screws (M6) (a) in a crisscross pattern to remove clutch cover (b) from motorcycle RH.
- If the cover is jammed in the engine, gently tap on the tabs (a) provided on the cover using a plastic/ rubber mallet.
- Remove gasket (a) and dowel pins (b) from clutch cover/engine.
CAUTION Do not use a sharp tool to scrap the gasket material from the joint faces.
If required scrap only with a soft and blunt tool.
Clutch Actuating Shaft
- Gently remove the E clip (a) and washer (b) from the bottom of the clutch actuating shaft inside clutch cover.
- Remove oil seal (a) along with washer (b) from outer clutch case.
- Gently pull out clutch actuating shaft (a) from clutch cover (b).
- Remove needle roller bearings (a) from clutch cover with special tool.

Injector, Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor and Idle Speed Controller (ISC) Connections Ensure ignition and stop switch are in OFF position. Disconnect throttle position sensor connector (a) from LH throttle body (b). Gently press connector lock to disconnect fuel injector connectors (a) from LH and RH of throttle body (b). Disconnect idle speed control sensor (ISC) connector (a) from throttle body (b).

Remove the circlip (a) on the oil level window inside clutch cover. Gently press oil window (a) from outer side to remove from clutch cover.
